For everyone
What we do so that everyone can use this site and the record entretanto, what is still missing, and how to tell us what does not work.
The record entretanto
We made the CD for people who see, for people who do not, and for people who read in other ways:
- The lyrics and texts, as text. They are on the record’s page, in Portuguese and in English, and a screen reader reads them.
- Easy to read. The record explained in short sentences and simple words, on the page entretanto, easy to read.
- Song titles on the player. The disc has CD-Text: many CD players, in the car and on the computer, show the name of each song.
The accessible booklet
The whole booklet of the CD, with a description of the disc, the packaging and the photographs. It is in Portuguese, with the English translations of the lyrics, as in print.
- Ebook (EPUB 3, 130 KB): to read with a screen reader, a braille display or in the text size you like.
- Large-print PDF (21 pages, 0.8 MB): to read on screen or to print.
We checked both files with the reference tools: the ebook with EPUBCheck and the DAISY Consortium’s Ace, and the PDF with veraPDF (PDF/UA-1 standard). Both passed without errors.
This site
We want this site to meet level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.2).
In October 2026 we checked every page: with automated tests (axe-core), by measuring colour contrast, and by going through them with the keyboard only, on computer and phone, in the light and dark themes. We fixed what we found.
You can use the whole site with the keyboard, enlarge the text up to 200%, and switch to the dark theme with the moon button at the top. Animations stop if your system asks for reduced motion.
What is still missing
- Payment happens on Stripe’s page, which follows its own accessibility rules.
- The videos are on YouTube, and captions depend on each video.
- We have not yet tested the site with people who use screen readers. We will.
